Can I also use my MALA yoga mat outdoors?
Yes, you can also practice outdoors with your MALA yoga mat.
Our HYBRID models in particular are very durable and suitable for almost all surfaces.
Please note, however, that environmental influences can accelerate the aging process of any material over time, including that of your yoga mat.
Above all, prolonged direct sunlight should be avoided, especially with the INSTAGRIP yoga mats.
Intense UV radiation can damage the surface like sunburn and permanently reduce grip.
I slide on my HYBRID yoga mat. What can I do?
The microfiber surface of the HYBRID yoga mats is primarily designed for strenuous practices such as hot yoga or vinyasa flow.
The grip unfolds as soon as the surface comes into contact with some moisture.
Slightly damp hands and feet are usually sufficient for this. For most people, this is achieved within the first few minutes of practice.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to be dripping with sweat.
A spray bottle is included with the mat, with which you can moisten the mat a little.
So you have immediate grip if you start with completely dry hands and feet or sweat little.
Over time, the surface becomes a little more non-slip, even when dry.
Our founder has been a yoga teacher for Hot Yoga for 10 years and has been practicing exclusively on our mats for 6 years.
But she also practices Yin and Ashtanga Yoga and can emphasize another advantage of the mats in this context.
If you don’t sweat at all during quieter yoga classes and therefore have less grip, you will learn to activate the small stabilizing muscles.
In the long run, this leads to a wonderfully safe and stable practice.
